Volunteering Opportunities:
VP of Programs:
1) Name Tag & Certificates Coordinator: this volunteer will be responsible for
printing the name tags and preparing speaker plaques for each dinner meeting.
2) Programs Director: This
is a leadership role and that will oversee all high level objectives: manage
people, tasks, and ensuring that a solid process is in place.
3) PDU-Entry: This position will require the upload of
member PDUs for dinner meetings to PMI once a month. Approximately two hours
per month. Can be done from any remote location.
4) Seminar
Coordinator: The
Seminar Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities for an 1 day
course (8 hours) with the goal of providing professional development
opportunities to the chapter membership. Responsibilities include: identifying seminar dates, recruiting
speakers, coordinate site selection with Operations VP, preparing seminar
budget, preparing seminar announcement materials, coordinate registration set-up,
manage speaker logistic for event, recruitment of facilitator to manage meeting
logistics during the seminar, develop
surveys and obtain membership feedback on seminar or future topics for seminars.
VP of Communications:
1) Communications Director: This is a leadership role that will oversee
all job functions under Communications: Newsletter, Web, and advertising. Will
be responsible for recruiting and training other staff volunteers and ensuring
all job functions are filled and stable.
2) Newsletter Editor: This position rotates monthly. If you like being creative and assembling information for the monthly chapter newsletter this volunteer opportunity is for you. The newsletter is created using Microsoft Publisher and training is provided.
3) Advertising Coordinator: This position maintains regular monthly contact with all advertisers, gets up to date ad copy posts all advertisements each month to a folder in SHAREPOINT. Maintains a comprehensive Advertisers Information Matrix form with point of contact name, address, email, and phone number, payment status. Answers advertiser questions about the newsletter, meeting sponsorships & special promotional chapter emails.
4) Newsletter Writer: Do you like to write? Don't mind
seeing your name in lights (okay, print). This position is an alternate to our
very own Roving Columnist position. You will need to attend the monthly dinner
meetings and provide a write-up of the speaker presentation.
VP of Operations:
Recording Secretary: This position will serve as back-up or alternate for the current secretary for taking notes at the monthly Board meeting.
